Gorton’s Artisan Fillet Review and Giveaway!

image

Gorton’s was nice enough to send me their new Gorton’s Artisan Fillets to try out and review and it was so good!  I have to be honest, I’ve never been a big fan of seafood which has always been a bit of a bone of contention in my household.  I was raised in Texas on Tex-Mex and would gladly eat Mexican food every night of the week.  My wife was born and raised in Florida and LOVES seafood.  Let’s just say that agreeing on a restaurant when we want to go out to eat can sometimes take FOREVER.

So I was ready to kind of take or leave these fillets.  In fact, I was ready to mix up my “must-have” condiment for eating fish, homemade tarter sauce.  Nothing fancy, just a scoop of mayo and a spoonful of sweet relish mixed together but crucial for my enjoyment of pretty much any seafood.

You can imagine how surprised I was when I cooked up a Gorton’s Artisan fillet and had a taste.  It was REALLY good.   I tried the Lemon and Cracked Peppercorn variety and the lemon wasn’t to tart and the pepper wasn’t overpowering.  It was just a well seasoned fillet that made for an excellent dinner.

Want to try it for yourself?  If you will head to Gorton’s website, there are very nice coupons to download and recipes you can explore.  You can also connect with Gorton’s on their FaceBook, Twitter, and Pinterest.  You can also enter to win their Real Solutions Sweepstakes from now until April 21st here.

Gorton’s has also graciously agreed to let me give away 2 prize packs that will each include 2 coupons for FREE Gorton’s products and a cutting board.  Pretty awesome, right!  All you need to do is leave a comment on this post and click the button on the RaffleCopter widget and you are entered to win!  Once you do that, there are a couple bonus ways to enter as well.  Good Luck!
