Itâs back to school season and for most parents that means 2 things, buying school supplies and making sure your kidâs immunizations are up to date. Did you know you can get your required vaccines (Like whooping cough or meningitis) at Walgreens and give another needy child a âShot@Lifeâ?
With Walgreensâ Get a Shot. Give a Shot® program, every immunization you get for your child at Walgreens will help Walgreens donate immunizations to needy kids around the world. Itâs an awesome program and Walgreens makes it quick and easy because there is no appointment needed, most insurance is accepted, and Walgreens pharmacists will report back to your primary care physician. You can find more info here as well as a list of required vaccines and a list of stores near you.
Just on a personal note, one of the reasons my kids liked getting their shots at Walgreens was I always promised them candy after the shot. None of my kids ever cried after their shots and I always thought I was a genius for making this a reward based activity. It wasnât until years later that my kids told me that they always thought the little alcohol wipe was anesthesia so thought they werenât actually feeling anything. I have weird kids.
You can also get your school supply shopping done at Walgreens as they have a wide selection and great prices. Head to Walgreenâs today to get your kids ready for school with immunizations and school supplies!
